Magazine Layout

BIBAK of Northern California is a non-profit organization based in the California Bay Area. Their mission is to provide cultural awareness of Indigenous Filipinos from the Cordillera Autonomous Region in the Philippines. In the Fall of 2019 they sought out a designer to organize and style their content for their printed magazine titled Our Stories.

Challenge

Create a print layout to contain personal narratives

Process

I reviewed the content and created an inventory of all the elements.

I interviewed some of the organization members and took a look at some of the demographic data to get an understanding of who will be reading these stories. Based on that I organized the content elements and created a styling guide.
