Overview
The Sequoia School's website needs an update to respond for COVID-19
Role
Product Designer
Research, Prototype, UX/UI Design
Date
Summer 2020
Background

Sequoia schools facilitate alternative education programs for at-promise students. Visitors arriving at the site needed help with finding out about COVID-19 protocols, essential resources in English and Spanish, and basic information about the school like the address and main contacts.
The website is run by the site administrator who has limited web development experience. Any changes must be simple enough to do through the web site editor.
Challenge
Highlight key information such as schools resources and basic contact information
Support bilingual users
Hand over the site to website admin
Results
Revised homepage and site sub pages
Added key contact information to site footer
Provide english and Spanish content on pages
Strategy
Used predictive analysis to perform an evaluation of the website.
Interviewed stakeholders to highlight and prioritize key information for site visitors.
Used basic tools provided by the site editor to reorganize components.
Aligned the website's styling in order to coordinate with Sequoia's district website for consistency.
